This series introduces only the technologies that I personally encountered at exhibitions and judged as truly useful for on-site improvement or distinctive in their approach.
Rather than simple product promotion, I focus exclusively on practical solutions that directly address real challenges in manufacturing environments.

Practical Technologies Found at FOOMA JAPAN — Part 4
TSUBACO Kansai × Nabtesco
FOOMA JAPAN 2026, held over four days at Tokyo Big Sight, attracted more than 110,000 visitors despite the approaching typhoon. Photography inside the venue was prohibited, which is unfortunate, because many practical solutions for food and manufacturing sites were exhibited.
Among them, at the booth of TSUBACO Kansai Co., Ltd. (Tsubakimoto Group), I found four technologies that directly contribute to on-site improvement.
With approval from President Kamimura of TSUBACO Kansai, I am sharing these insights here.
Below is the fourth installment.
④ Easy Connection of Helule (sanitary / Tri‑Clamp) piping
— Balancing Workability and Hygiene

Sanitary piping (tri‑clamp fittings) is essential in food, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants.
For hygiene control, tri‑clamps must be frequently removed and washed.
However, removal and re‑installation take time and have become one of the factors that hinder productivity.
In reality, conventional tri‑clamps require two‑hand tightening, placing a heavy burden on operators.
Tsubako Kansai handles Quitto (manufactured by Nabtesco), a type that allows tool‑less, one‑handed quick connection.

Fast disassembly and washing
Reduced operator burden
Easy hygiene management
Flexible for line changes
This technology can greatly improve on‑site work efficiency.
■ Summary: The Strength of “Trading Company × Technology” That Addresses On‑Site Issues
All four technologies introduced at FOOMA were practical solutions that directly solved on‑site problems.
① Countermeasure for Siemens PLC black‑box issues
② Countermeasure for genuine replacement of Siemens low‑voltage motors & geared motors
③ Countermeasure for foreign‑matter contamination in food production
④ Workability improvement for sanitary (Helule/Tri‑Clamp) piping
I felt that Tsubako Kansai is a company that, as a trading firm handling a wide range of products, can provide technical proposals tailored to on‑site issues.
I will continue introducing technologies discovered at exhibitions and sharing information that contributes to on‑site improvement.
